Dr Liz Armstrong, writing in Pendulum, the MDF Journal, about 'Observations on Manic Depression' by Tina and David of the Southend MDF Self-help Group.
Manic depression is a mental illness. It is also called bi-polar affective disorder. Some people prefer to call a mental illness 'a mental health problem' or 'a condition'.

Free Information Leaflets
in pdf format
from the national charity
MDF The BiPolar Organisation produces information leaflets which we think are well balanced and very helpful. They are published by people who themselves have experienced bipolar affective disorder and have recovered. Some of these leaflets are currently available to download free of charge in pdf format. The Southend MDF Group is pleased to have been able to fund the project which enabled MDF The Bipolar Organisation to make these leaflets freely available to all.
