Welcome to the website of the Southend Manic Depression Fellowship Self-help Group.

Manic depression is a mental illness. It is also called bi-polar affective disorder. Some people prefer to call a mental illness 'a mental health problem' or 'a condition'.

Free National MDF Information Leaflets

MDF The BiPolar Organisation produces several leaflets which we think are well balanced and very helpful. They are written by people who themselves have experienced manic depression and have recovered. Two of these leaflets are currently available to download free of charge in pdf format.
